Once in school a teenager has more energy and can concentrate better on his school work. In my humble opinion, the event was a huge success and I can see it growing very rapidly. Why? The organization of the event was very professional. The speaker and content were excellent. The energy was very positive and people had a good time.
So, why is there a newfound interest in “fixing” the schools in my old district? Is it because it is the richest county in the state? I don’t recall any failing schools in the county. If lobbyists are involved, then obviously a lot of money is involved and they will go along with anyone who is giving them money.
Kids with Learning Disabilities: I think it’s particularly hard for kids with learning disabilities to go back to school because they really are going to struggle in class; it is going to be challenging for them and they know it. I think that as a parent, you really need to set clear limits and have a positive discussion with your child about school. At the same time, be certain to talk with the school to make sure that your child with special learning needs gets what he requires during the year. Don’t enter into these conversations with a negative frame of mind about the school; that won’t help your child. Instead, come in with realistic goals about how the school can match your child’s learning needs and how you can partner with the school to support those needs.
I will sit down and write the title and main topics I want to cover in the article. Then I will open a new document and do the exact same thing with as many articles as I want to write that day. Once I’ve done this I will go back to the first document and write the article as fast as I can to get all of the content out of my head.
Not many with busy work, family and social life schedules have the time, energy, motivation or persistence to make that kind of commitment to write a book — or starting any new writing project. Even those of you who are professional, disciplined writers can have issues around creating enough time for writing the books you are most called to write.
